If you’ve never been to the sale before here’s what you need to know.

- It’s pretty simple, for $20 you get a shiny blue bag*

- Once inside the Bag Sale you shop until your heart’s content or until your bag is full

Don’t forget, there is a store wide clothing and jewelery sale on as well (as if you needed another reason to make the trip!).

Lessons Learned from previous years

1) Stock is added to the Bag Sale almost every hour, so you are as likely to find something great on day 1 as you are on day 5.

2) Like a casino, you might lose track of time while in the Bag Sale, so plan accordingly.

3) Unlike a casino, you have a much better chance of picking a winner at the Bag Sale, see #5.

4) There is more than one way to stuff a bag.

5) You can get 38 shirts in a bag, see #4. You might want to practice at home first!

6) Even if you’re a terrible bag stuffer you could probably reach half that number. You do the math, at $20 for a bag, it’s still a great deal!

“Why is the Bag Sale so cheap?”

People often ask us that. There are a few reasons…

First of all, it’s a LOT of fun. Can’t put a price on that!

Secondly, the pieces of clothing you find in the bag sale most likely have NEVER seen the store.

What, brand new pieces?

The short answer is yes. When we purchase our goods, we have many stages of quality control. Once in a while, a small stain or rip will be found. We never want our customers to be unexpectedly surprised at home that the piece of clothing they bought at the store at full price had a blemish that they missed when they purchased the goods. It is of paramount importance that you can TRUST the Patch when you buy clothes. We want you to enjoy your experience at the store, do not worry about finding anything wrong with the clothes – we’ve already done all the work for you.

We’re looking forward to it!

Yep, The Patch’s great divide has occurred, and co-workers have turned to rivals this summer. Well, we still love each other, but now there’s just a little healthy competition thrown into the equation.

If you’ve been in the store recently, you may have noticed a big poster board behind the main cash. This board is sacred to us. It’s divided into four, hence the four teams we’ve been split into. These teams consist of: Team Indecsive (lame, we know, but that’s what you get for not being able to decide on a team name after a month of summer), Benny and the Jets, the Sour Patch Kids, and the Rebel Squadron. Our score-keeping system may cause a flashback to elementary school, but hey, it works for us. We use spirit stars to keep track of not only which team is full of enthusiasm this summer, but also which individual Patchie.

So, where does the competition start? Let us first draw your attention to the theme days. The Patchies that go all out and have ridiculously amazing costumes earn themselves two stars (that’s the top of the crop). The Patchies that wear a mediocre costume earn themselves one, and the Patchies that are just no fun and don’t dress up get absolutely nothing (but shame). We also hangout a lot outside of work, and when we do, we like to have some relays every so often. This is where many of the team spirit points come from, and these points are the final determining point for the top team at the end of summer.

Other than pride and bragging rights, the winning teams gets a day full of fun, provided by our ever-so-loving boss. So there is definitely an incentive! Come by and checkout the Spirit Board, and we’ll tell you whatever you want to know about this rivalry! We also hope this give you an incentive to come by and check out our next theme day on August 15th, when the store will be filled with ridiculous costumes once again! Cheers!
